STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An officer barely missed a group of kids after he lost control of his cruiser when it was T-boned during a pursuit on Sunday.
The officer was pursuing a stolen vehicle when his patrol car was hit and spun out of control, WTAE reported. Four children were nearly struck.
Commissioner Kelly Cropper-Hall said the officer followed all policies and procedures. His lights and sirens were on as well.
“He was doing his job, so I believe that the policy, you always review everything after every incident, but I don’t see it changing in the future,” Cropper-Hall said.
The officer was taken to a local hospital and released. Police are still looking for the stolen vehicle involved in the pursuit.
