PALM BEACH, Fla. — An Orange County man says that he sang his way out of a ticket after police officers pulled him over for not wearing his seatbelt.
T.J. Bristol had his selfie stick in hand when officers pulled him over on Sunday with one plan in mind — sing so well they’ll forget about it, WGHP reports. “The craziest thing just happened to me – I’m being pulled over by police officers. I’m gonna pray my way out of this one,” he said in .
It seemed to work. Bristol sang a rendition of Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful” to the officers with a post saying “God just got me out of this big ticket maybe you should try singing to your police officers, it work(ed) for me always remember (to) click it or ticket.”
In response, the said both deputies were happy with the song. One of the officers said the musical number was “therapeutic” since it was the five-year anniversary of her husband’s line-of-duty murder on Tuesday.
