PADUA, Italy — Italian police officers recently delivered two kidneys to two different hospitals in a specially adapted Lamborghini supercar.

NDTV News reported the organs were driven from Padua to hospitals in Modena and then Rome in the Lamborghini Huracan, which was gifted to the department in 2017.

“Traveling on the motorway to deliver the most beautiful Christmas present: life,” the police department posted on Instagram. "Thanks to the State Police's special Father Christmas, two people have received the gift of a kidney.”

The sports car, which was assigned to highway patrol in northern Italy for use in both regular police operations as well as transport of blood and organs, has a medical cool box in a purpose-built compartment at the front of the Huracan.
