WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A young boy received some comfort from Georgia officers and a K-9 before undergoing brain surgery.

Before leaving to the hospital on Friday, 9-year-old Jalen Manns received a visit from several Warner Robins police officers who brought the boy gifts, CBS News reported. In May, Jalen was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

During their visit with Jalen, one officer, along with his K-9, can be seen on video kneeling down next to the boy and praying for him. The video of the special moment has since gone viral.

Huge shout out to the WRPD this morning. The prayer they prayed with us before we hit the road was enough to leave us speechless! ❤

Jalen’s mother, Hannah Manns, first shared her son’s story on Facebook and asked for ideas on how to help her son cope. After posting that German shepherds were Jalen’s favorite animal, many people donated stuffed animals to Jalen.

The Warner Robins Police Department eventually found out about Jalen’s story and wanted to do something special for him. On Friday morning, several officers showed up at Jalen’s home with gifts and let him meet some of their K-9s.

Jalen learned each K-9’s name as the officers taught the young boy about each dog. The officers then escorted Jalen and his mother to the hospital for his biopsy.

Hannah said she was left speechless after the prayer and thanked the officers for the support they gave to her son, who she said was worried before undergoing the surgery. She added that the officers would follow up with him after his surgery.
