PUEBLO, Colo. — The Colorado State Patrol says a woman is dead and a trooper is seriously injured after a tractor-trailer rig crashed into the back of a patrol car parked on the shoulder of Interstate 25 yesterday.
Two other people – including the truck driver – are also injured.
The patrol says the trooper and two other people were inside in the patrol car after a previous accident when the truck ran into the cruiser.
The patrol says 56-year-old Connie Tucker of Trinidad was killed.
Forty-2-year-old State Trooper Brad Kennerson was seriously injured and was taken to Saint Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo.
Forty-9-year old Rhonda Traber of Trinidad was also seriously injured and was taken to Saint Mary Corwin.
The patrol says 23-year-old truck driver German (her-MAHN’) Rosales of Riverside, California suffered moderate injuries.
The patrol says neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash.
