ST. FRANCIS COUNTY, Ark. — An Arkansas police officer was killed after losing control of his vehicle on a wet highway.
Arkansas Online reports that 53-year-old Officer Kenneth J. Culbreath was driving a pickup truck late Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle at a curve, causing it to veer off the highway. Authorities said the vehicle flipped several times before coming to a stop in a field.
Culbreath was later pronounced dead. Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen said Culbreath, who was a member of the Earle PD, just finished his shift and was heading home at the time of the crash.
