MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A car crash in Northwest Miami-Dade left three police officers, a man and a woman injured on Thursday night, according to WFOR-Ch. 4
The crash happened at Northwest Seventh Avenue and 88th Street, when three undercover agents in an unmarked Dodge Charger collided with a man and a woman in a Toyota Tundra.
The impact ejected the two occupants of the Tundra. Witnesses said they saw one officer hit his head on the windshield.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the five injured to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Eddie Davis, who was at the scene, said the police officers were the first to receive medical assistance.
“Everybody came out of their cars and ran over to the officers,” said Davis. “The problem is they passed two bloody people lying in the street with a head injury, and they walked past them like they weren’t even there.”
Miami-Dade police issued conflicting reports.
Initially police said the Toyota was at fault for violating the right of way, and later said the crash was still under investigation. Witnesses said the police officer was speeding.
“They had no lights on. They were just speeding. They had no sirens on anything,” said George, who only provided his first name.
Miami-Dade police said all five people involved in the accident are in stable condition
