DALLAS, Texas — A 21-year-old woman was arrested early Thursday after crashing into a Dallas police car and injuring two officers while driving under the influence in central Oak Cliff, police said.

Two Dallas police officers were responding to another crash just before 4 a.m. at southbound Interstate 35E at the Marvin D. Love Freeway split, police said. Dominica Lopez was driving southbound on I-35E and crashed into their marked police car. The officers were outside the car at the time.

The police car spun counterclockwise and struck the two officers. Both officers were taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center with minor injuries, police said.

Lopez was arrested on two charges of intoxication assault, police said.

Lopez was driving with two other 21-year-old women who were also taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center. One of the passengers was treated for a broken nose, while the other was treated for a broken arm.

Police said the investigation into the incident is ongoing. It was unclear Thursday whether Lopez had an attorney or if her bail had been set.
