(CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.) – More than 100 police officers competed in the annual Southeast Police Motorcycle Rodeo.
While most of the competitors were from departments in southeast Florida, motorcycle officers came to Coral Springs from as far away as Maryland. Sporting uniforms, helmets and sunglasses, they maneuvered their machines through obstacle courses laid out in a shopping center parking lot.
The rodeo brings in thousands of dollars for Concerns for Police Survivors. Competitors also say these events are a useful test of skills they may need on the job. But they also get involved because they want to win.
