WEST VALLEY CITY -- A high-speed chase led to the arrest of a man accused of driving a stolen car with an outstanding felony warrant.
Police said a witness alerted them of a possible drunken driver who had just stolen some gas near 3500 South and 4000 West Thursday night around 6 p.m. Officers located the vehicle and followed it, reaching speeds of 85 mph. They performed a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle, causing it to roll, said West Valley City police Sgt. Michael Buchanan.
The suspect received minor injuries and was treated at a hospital. He was booked into jail on the outstanding warrant and faces theft charges.
