LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. — Well, someone was getting busy.
What Georgia authorities believed was a corpse next to railroad tracks Tuesday actually happened to be, wait for it, a female sex doll.
The odd discovery came about after officers saw the unmoving object by the tracks around 2 p.m. in Allenhurst, about 46 miles southwest of Savannah, WSAV reports.
Policy dictates that officers avoid touching a deceased person before the coroner gets on the scene, and so a sheet was first laid over the “body.”
After the coroner showed up, detectives started looking for signs of injury and immediately realized what they were dealing with.
The fully dressed anatomically correct doll apparently bore very realistic features, authorities told the outlet.
Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Detective Mike Albritton said the situation was a first for him.
On the bright side, the sex doll’s discovery meant there was no need for an investigation.
Who she belongs to, though, is another question entirely.
