STOCKTON, Calif. — Police are searching for a woman after a video posted online captured what appeared to be her driving while walking her dog, ABC 13 reported.
The video was originally posted on Facebook by Amanda Bajkovich, who confronted the woman after seeing her pull her dog on a leash beside her car while driving.
The video went viral and gained attention of the city’s animal services department, director Phillip Zimmerman said. He was concerned about the animal but also the child sitting in the vehicle.
“We have a lack of humane education — not only for adults, obviously in this case, but as children as well,” he told the news site. “If we don’t teach children that this isn’t OK, this is what happens.”
An investigation was underway to identify the woman. She could face charges of animal cruelty.
