Multistate police pursuit leads to 3 LEOs injured, 2 crashes

PHILADELPHIA — A city bus full of passengers was hit Wednesday as a multistate police pursuit crossed into Pennsylvania and left three officers and a bus passenger injured.

The purusit began when Dejuan Robinson, 20, fled a traffic stop in Delaware, continued into Philadelphia and caused two separate crashes. Authorities are still looking for Robinson, whom they believe is armed and dangerous.

Philadelphia police tweeted a photo of Robinson and described him as a person of interest in multiple homicides in Delaware.

Delaware corrections officials say Robinson removed a GPS device in October that he was ordered to wear while on probation. Officers have not been able to locate him since. It was not immediately clear why Robinson was on probation.

On Wednesday, some responding officers crashed on Interstate 95 near the Philadelphia airport, and the suspect crashed into the bus after exiting the highway onto city streets, according to Philadelphia Police Capt. Sekou Kinebrew.

Several schools were locked down during the chase.

A Pennsylvania State trooper was hurt in the crash, and two Wilmington Police officers were treated at a hospital. A passenger on a Philadelphia city bus was also injured, said Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority spokesman John Golden.
