Slain Metro Special Police officer ID’d as mother of 4

WASHINGTON — An officer found dying of a gunshot wound Tuesday in D.C. has been identified as Angela Washington, a 41-year-old mother of four, reported WUSA. Washington was on duty and working for the Metro Special Police, a private law enforcement agency of commissioned officers.
D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee said Washington was working at an apartment complex when she was killed. No one else was hurt in the shooting.
According to WUSA, police are looking for a white Camry with tinted windows. A $25,000 reward has been offered for information leading to a conviction.
Washington is survived by her children, who range in age from 17 to 23, and her grandchildren.
