WASHINGTON – An officer who allegedly dry-fired his weapon at another officer during roll call will not face charges.
According to WUSA, the officer reportedly fired the unloaded gun at the head of another officer under orders from a sergeant as part of a situational awareness exercise.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office told WUSA they declined to pursue criminal charges upon review. The incident is still currently under investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department.
