PLEASANT VALLEY, Mo. — A Pleasant Valley police officer was making a traffic stop late Saturday night for a vehicle with a registration violation when the driver exited their vehicle and fired into the police cruiser.
The officer, whose name has not yet been released, was hit in the face, according to KMBC, but is in stable condition and expected to be okay.
Pleasant Valley police, Clay County deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol are looking for the shooter. He was in a green Honda Accord with Tennessee license plate M1863K.
