ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A second suspect has been arrested in the Friday shooting of an officer outside a convenience store.

According to the Capital Gazette, 29-year-old Danielle Nicole Blake was taken into custody Sunday and faces multiple charges in the incident.

The first suspect, 30-year-old Colvin Lamar White, was arrested late Friday after a manhunt.

10-year-veteran Officer Lawrence Adams was shot on-duty after stopping inside a convenience store to make a purchase and confronting a “suspicious” person. A struggle ensued, and Adams was shot in the neck.

After being listed in critical condition and undergoing multiple surgeries since his admittance to a hospital, Adams’ condition was upgraded to serious on Sunday.

Chief Timothy Altomare previously called the incident “the second worst nightmare we could’ve gone through.”

A vigil was held by the local community over the weekend to honor the officer. Officials continue to investigate the shooting.
