Ohio officer dragged by car

The Cincinnati Enquirer

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio — Police here are looking for a driver they say dragged an officer with her car in a Kroger parking lot Wednesday evening.

The officer was working a security detail at the Kroger on Hamilton Avenue, near Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway.

The officer was called to the parking lot to check suspicious activity around 6:40 p.m., North College Hill police said.

That’s when a man in the lot hopped into the passenger side of a car and the female driver tried to flee the scene.

The officer’s watch band was caught on the car and he was dragged several feet, police said. The officer suffered a sore wrist but was otherwise uninjured.

Police were still looking for the car, whose driver is now wanted for assault on a police officer.

The car was described as a green 1992 Toyota with Kentucky plate 114CTT, last seen driving south on Hamilton Avenue then west on Reagan. Anyone with information should call North College Hill police at 513-521-7171.
