This week’s photo comes to us from Thomaston (Conn.) Officer Jason St. Onge. Officer St. Onge recently encountered a British Army Veteran named Neilly Davis, who served alongside American forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Davis is walking across America for post-traumatic stress awareness and the funds he raises will go towards the Wounded Warrior Project. He is chronicling his trek from Provincetown, Mass. to Huntington Beach, Calif. on his Facebook page Not Broken, Just Damaged.

Officer St. Onge personally escorted Davis through Thomaston in order to help on his journey. The other person pictured is Thomaston firefighter and Marine veteran Shawn Kennedy, who helped Neil during his stay by offering him a place to sleep. Aaron Kennedy is credited to have taken the photo.
