Duty Death: Michael Rudd - [La Paz County]

LA PAZ COUNTY, Ariz. — Police in Arizona are mourning the loss of Sgt. Michael Rudd, who was killed in the line of duty early Monday. According to 12 News, Rudd had exited his cruiser after a pursuit and was struck by another vehicle.
The pursuit suspect was detained and the other driver stayed at the scene, according to the report.
"[Rudd] wore his heart on his sleeve and he was dedicated to this profession,” Sheriff William Ponce told ABC 15.
Rudd had worked with the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office since 2013.
