ALPINE, Utah — Lone Peak police rescued a 60-year-old woman from her home after a fire broke out, FOX 13 reported.
The fire started in the early morning of April 15 while she was asleep. When she awoke, the fire had grown significantly, trapping her in her basement.
Officer Susov and Farnsworth responded to the scene and kicked out a basement window to pull the woman to safety.
“We’re just happy that police officers came and helped her get out, most people are sleeping at 4:50 in the morning so we’re just glad that this has a positive outcome,” Battalion Chief Joseph McRae said.
The woman was not injured in the incident.
