SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A recent patent application from Scottsdale Inventions LLC reveals a prototype for handcuffs that release an electric shock, according to Patent Bolt.com.
The cuffs have the option of blinking or giving an auditory warning to the wearer of the cuffs to know that they need to calm down before shock ensues.
The handcuffs could react to drastic movement, movement outside a radius, or under the order of the cuff’s owner.
The cuffs would contain an EKG/ECG, according to the article, to minimize the shock’s severity.
