PALISADE, Colo. — After the recent slaying of Deputy Derek Geer, Palisade police wanted to remind cops around the nation to keep their heads up, WesternSlope Now reported.
Detective Mark Post and Officer Bryce Raber sang and danced to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” and it quickly became a viral hit garnering over 100,000 views.
Chief Deb Funston was blown away by the response to the video, she told the news site.
“I think this is their way, and I thought it was a very unique fun way, to get the message out that not only do they care about their fellow officers, but they care about their community, and they want the community to believe,” Funston said.
The video posted to the department’s Facebook garnered over 3,000 reactions.
