GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — A four-hour standoff between a suicidal man and police in Texas was documented online through an anonymous sharing app.
NBC-DFW reports police responded to the scene Thursday after an officer pulled over 33-year-old Jose Silva for speeding and realized he was the same person police had received a call about prior.
Silva’s girlfriend had called police earlier in the day when Silva made suicidal comments following their break-up.
As police responded to the scene, Silva posted pictures and comments on the standoff from inside his vehicle via the anonymous sharing app ‘Whisper,’ according to the app’s editor in chief, Neetzan Zimmerman.
