DULUTH, Ga. — Dash cam video has been released capturing a dangerous pursuit of two burglary suspects.

According to the Gwinnett Daily Post, two burglars broke into a hardware store Monday. A nearby officer was alerted to an alarm sounding at the store and began to pursue the suspects.

The suspects stole 18 weed trimmers, 15 chainsaws, six edgers and two pole pruners before fleeing in a stolen SUV.

As police pursued the suspects, one individual climbed into the back of the stolen vehicle and began hurling chainsaws and weed trimmers at the officer’s vehicle.

One officer was able to avoid hitting any of the stolen items, but a second officer hit one of the chainsaws, causing around $3,000 in damage, according to the report.

The burglars eventually abandoned the stolen SUV and most of the $19,000 worth of equipment was returned, according to WSB-TV. Police were unable to catch the suspects and are still working to find them.
