SAN ANTONIO — Cell phone camera caught a foot pursuit in San Antonio that continued even after the suspect was hit with a baton.

According to KENS 5, police responded to a call of 27-year-old Daniel Robledo refusing to leave a relative’s home September 25.

Police then engaged in a foot pursuit after Robledo refused to show ID at the scene and fled.

An officer attempted to subdue Robledo with a baton to no avail.

As another cop arrived to aid in the pursuit, Robledo attempted to flee in his sister’s SUV. One officer followed Robledo into the vehicle as the suspect slammed into the side of a Subway restaurant multiple times.

The impact caused the officer to be thrown against the windshield, according to the report.

Police then managed to TASER Robledo and arrest him. He was charged with aggravated assault of a public official and resisting and evading arrest. His sister was charged with interfering with the duties of a public servant.

The officer who was injured inside the vehicle is expected to be okay.
