Watch: Driver ping-pongs off LAPD cruisers trying to evade officers

LOS ANGELES — New aerial video shows a driver’s violent efforts to escape police after officers cornered the suspect in a dead-end road last week. 

According to FOX LA, police were pursuing a driver suspected of stealing the car. Officers briefly trapped the driver in a neighborhood cul-de-sac, but the suspect was able to escape. 

Helicopter video shows the driver hitting and scraping by multiple LAPD cruisers. According to the report, the pursuit continued to a parking garage where officers ultimately took the suspect into custody.
