This week’s photo comes from Deputy William McFarland of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office in Alpine, Calif., who writes: “I was going through some of my old photos and found this one I took during the 2003 Cedar Fire in San Diego County. This was the first morning of the fire and we were going door to door making sure everyone got out in time.”
