BURBANK, Calif. — A spooked horse was spotted galloping through Burbank and thanks to a police officer, the equine was safely reunited with its owner.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Burbank Police Department received a call about a horse with a saddle, but no rider.

In a video message from the Burbank Police Department, Sgt. Brent Fekety said the caller saw the horse galloping frantically down the street. The horse apparently was spooked during a ride with its owner and took off.

The horse, named Oreo, was found grazing on some grass in front of a house. That’s when Officer Nicholas Moreno, who grew up around horses, got in the saddle, the police department said.
