LOS ANGELES — A viral video posted to Facebook captured a moment of mutual respect between officers and demonstrators during a protest against President-elect Donald Trump.
The video, posted by Wes Marsala, shows protesters lining up to shake hands and thank officers for keeping them safe.
The officers can be heard telling the protesters to “stay safe” and thanking them for keeping the protest peaceful.
Marsala captioned the post, “This is how a protest is done.”
The video has more than 713K views and garnered over 8,000 shares.
