BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy was shot twice Thursday while serving a warrant.
According to ABC 33, three men are accused of opening fire on police as they were serving a drug warrant at a residence.

Stephen Lamar Gadson, 25, Antaurean Markese Riggs, 21, and Antuan Cornell Riggs, 24, will be charged with attempted murder. Gadson and Antaurean were taken into custody. Antuan, who was shot in the ankle by officers, is still at large.
One of the two captured suspects was shot in the shoulder, treated at a local hospital and taken into custody.
The sheriff’s deputy was hit twice in the knee and is expected to recover after treatment. WBRC reported the deputy was an undercover narcotics officer and was dragged to safety by fellow deputies during a gunfire exchange.
Police found five pounds of marijuana and multiple guns at the scene. A manhunt for the third suspect is underway.
