Facebook comment incited violence against police

By Police1 Staff

FAIRFAX, Va. — A Fairfax firefighter has been placed on paid administrative leave while the department investigates an anti-cop comment he allegedly posted on Facebook, The Washington Post reported.

Khalil B. Abdul-Rasheed allegedly called for police officers to be put in “body bags.” The comment was made on the Facebook page, “Filming Cops” in response to another comment about a police shooting video.
Abdul-Rasheed did not respond to the publication’s request for comment.

The post generated backlash among county officials and the fire department.

“The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department will not tolerate committing or inciting violence against law enforcement officers,” Fire Chief Richard R. Bowers Jr. said in a statement obtained by the publication.

The incident is under investigation. It has not been confirmed that Abdul-Rasheed made the comment himself.
