DALLAS, Tex. — A Dallas police officer was arrested in Mesquite early Saturday after a woman told authorities that he had raped her. Officer Michael Bricker, 38, was being held in the Mesquite city jail on suspicion of sexual assault and indecent exposure.

He has been placed on administrative leave. About 3 a.m. Saturday, the woman called police and told them that she had just been sexually assaulted at an apartment near Hillcrest and Galloway avenues, Mesquite police Lt. Shannon Greenhaw said.

A second woman in the apartment told police that Officer Bricker had exposed himself to her.

Police stopped Mr. Bricker’s vehicle on Galloway Avenue, Lt. Greenhaw said.

Officer Bricker was hired in 1994 and works at the southeast patrol station.
