MONTGOMERY, Ala. — A Montgomery police officer and a woman were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Montgomery.

It happened Friday about 1 p.m.

Police Chief Ernest Finley tells WSFA-TV the injured officer was identified as 22-year-old Carlos Taylor, who’s been on the force for two years.

Finley says Taylor was in an unmarked police car and responding to help another officer who needed assistance when he crashed with another vehicle. There was major damage to both vehicles.
