NEWINGTON, Conn. — Police released video Thursday of an officer who was dragged by a vehicle while trying to detain a shoplifting suspect.

Coonradt is charged with assault on a police officer, first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, reckless driving, misuse of registration plates, operating a motor vehicle while under suspension and disobeying the signal of an officer.
