ASBURY PARK, N.J. — An officer was stabbed by a knife-wielding suspect who was then shot by another officer Monday morning.

The Asbury Park Press reports 15-year veteran Ptl. Carl Christie was stabbed by 22-year-old Oswaldo Torres Quiroz with a 10-12 inch steak knife during a struggle on a sidewalk.
