CLOVIS, N.M. — Police released body camera footage Tuesday of an August shooting that left a New Mexico officer with a leg wound.

The video shows Officer Chris Caron deploying his TASER during a foot pursuit of suspect Anthony Baca. Caron can be seen falling to the ground and reporting shots fired shortly after, the Clovis News Journal reported.

Caron originally stopped Baca because he was riding his bicycle in the middle of the road, according to the video.

In a Facebook post, Captain Roman Romero warned viewers of the video’s graphic content and thanked the local community for their support.

“It [the community] is great because of the people who live here. The outpouring of support for Officer Caron and the continuing support our community has for their members of law enforcement is amazing,” Romero said. “We hope you are as proud of us as we are of our town.”

Officer Caron is recovering from the leg wound, and Baca turned himself in two days later, KOB reports.

Baca is charged with violent felony on a peace officer.
