MADISONVILLE, Ohio – Surveillance footage of the fatal shooting of an armed bank robber by an off-duty officer has been released.
According to ABC-22, Officer Kevin Hankerson was working security for the bank May 25 when 20-year-old Terry Frost entered the building and approached a teller.
The suspect had a gun in a plastic bag he pointed at the officer and later dropped, according to the Associated Press.
Officer Hankerson fired two shots at Frost – striking him in the back. The suspect managed to exit the bank and was later found dead in a wooded area.
Hankerson will be cleared in the shooting, which Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters called “as clean a police-involved shooting that I’ve ever seen.”
No other injuries were reported.
