Although I am not a law enforcement officer, I am a first responder and wear a duty belt to carry my gloves, CPR mask, radio, and a blow out kit. Just like it’s a pain to get my ballistic vest situated in one try, getting my belt in the right place and installing and fastening the keepers doesn’t always happen the first time either.
A Florida law enforcement officer came up with a brilliant idea that DeSantis Gunhide put into production. Their new “Can’t Lose” keepers have a loop that slides onto your underbelt and a polymer hook that you lay your duty belt into to hold it while you are positioning it properly. Once everything is situated, you snap the upper and lower flaps together over your duty belt and you are ready to ride. The keepers will be available in multiple colors and designs for around $32.99.
DeSantis has also introduced their new Detention Key (which I dubbed a Speed Key after their Speed Scabbard holster). This handcuff key and double lock pin are molded into a ¾” diameter ribbed polymer cylinder with a wrist loop, making it perfect for officers who are responsible for handcuffing dozens of prisoners for transport.
Finally, with multiple manufacturers introducing handgun optics for duty sidearms, DeSantis has introduced compatible holsters to their Quick Chek and Triple Play lines. All of their new holsters can accommodate weapons with or without optics.
Triple Play is a multi-use intuitive system that can utilize all of their Tap Out accessory components, making it ideal for duty, plain clothes, or tactical use.
