HARRODSBURG, Ky. — One officer is quickly becoming an internet sensation for his humorous videos on social media, LEX18 reported.
Officer Chad Baker likes to share some of the strange things cops see while working.
“Basically what we see on the job every day that a normal civilian wouldn’t see that actually could be humorous,” Baker told the news site. “That’s a great way to make people realize officers are human too.”
Baker’s videos are meant to humanize the badge. He even features videos with other viral LEOs like @deputy_bookem and @mike_thecop.
“We laugh, we cry just like you do and of course when we’re out on the streets we have to be serious,” he said. “But personally, we like to have a good time as well.”
Baker was inspired by other officers who post funny videos to social media. He began his account in January and has already amassed thousands of followers — over 15,000 on Instagram and 67,000 on Facebook.
He never expected a small amount of effort to go such a long way.
“It’s really humbling because I had no idea it was going to be anything like this,” he said. “Don’t be afraid to approach us. No matter what the reason is, if you just want to come and talk.”
