PLANO, Texas — Officers responded to a Spirit Halloween store in Plano on Monday night to assist with the retrieval of a customer’s loose pet monkey, body camera footage shows.
In the footage, the monkey is seen swinging from the store’s rafters as police walk through the store, trying to find the animal’s owner.
When police find the woman, she has regained control of the monkey, footage shows.
The woman tells officers as she leaves the store that the monkey took off after being startled by a Halloween decoration.
