ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando man allegedly shot himself during a robbery, stole a Mercedes from a strip club and then flagged down a deputy himself, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Lashawn Williams, 24, allegedly robbed a person of a phone and accidentally shot himself while fleeing the scene.

Panicked about the wound, he ran across the street to Cleo's Gentlemen's Club and found a Mercedes with the door open, which he allegedly jumped in and fled north on the Orange Blossom Trail.

"Feeling the effects of the gunshot, he pulled over on Columbia Street and flagged down a deputy," Crabb said.

Williams was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

He was also positively identified as the robber, Crabb said.
