ONO, Calif. — A father considered a person of interest in the disappearance of his 6-month-old daughter in Northern California has become the subject of a manhunt after he allegedly stole a gun and fled.
Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko says Matthew Graham skipped a meeting with his probation officer on Saturday and stole cash and a pistol from his mother’s home in Redding.
The Record Searchlight reports officers assisted by a helicopter and police dogs are looking for him.
Officers are searching in the southwestern part of the county for the infant, Ember Graham. Her father said he last saw her in her crib July 1. He became a person of interest after giving inconsistent statements to investigators.
Bosenko says a pacifier found in the sparsely populated Ono area led searchers there.
