NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Metro Nashville Police Department officer was killed when he was struck by a motorhome Saturday.
According to News Channel 5, Officer Michael Petrina, 25, was assisting a TDOT HELP truck direct traffic around a prior car accident when he was hit by the motorhome.
Officer Petrina was a member of the Tennessee National Guard and had served with the Metro Nashville Police Department for eight months, ODMP reported.
Charges are pending against the driver. The TDOT worker was not injured in the collision.
