INDIANAPOLIS — An officer is in good condition after being shot Sunday during a struggle with a shoplifting suspect.
According to the IndyStar, 29-year-old officer Eric Rosenbaum was trying to stop a fleeing shoplifting suspect, 40-year-old William A. G. Allen, at a home improvement store and got into a physical struggle with him.
Rosenbaum was shot during the struggle and taken to a hospital.
According to WTHR, Allen was arrested for attempted murder. The suspect is a registered violent sexual predator and has a long criminal history.
