ALHAMBRA, Calif. — SWAT responded to a scene Dec. 30 after receiving multiple calls of an unconscious man armed with a gun.
The Pasadena Star News reported that when police arrived the man briefly woke up then fell back asleep.
Authorities tried to wake the man up with sirens and air horns, but it didn’t work.
After hour-long standoff, SWAT approached the vehicle and the man exited the car, according to the publication.
Police found his cellphone case was shaped like a pistol. He was not armed.
According to Sgt. Jerry Johnson, the man was tired after working a night shift.
No charges were filed.
