AURORA, Colo. — Police have arrested a man suspected of shooting an Aurora officer during a Friday traffic stop.

The Denver Post reports 20-year-old Jahvell Daquan Forrest was taken into custody Tuesday after officers went door-to-door in the neighborhood where the shooting took place.

Forrest has several misdemeanor criminal offenses in his past.

“The investigation is ongoing and we may have more than one individual,” Chief Terry Jones said.

The officer, Ryan Burns, continues to recover at a hospital and is in good condition, The Denver Channel reported.
