The abusive ex-cop whose wife was found strangled and beaten near a highway in Westchester was arrested for the murder yesterday after confiding to an acquaintance that he was the killer and vowing he’d beat the rap because he had the best lawyers, law-enforcement sources told The Post.
“He called a female [co-worker at a White Plains medical center] and told her that he killed her, and that he had a good lawyer and thought he’d get off,” a law-enforcement source said of Eddy Coello, 38.
The disgraced former Housing cop was hauled from his mother’s Bronx home in cuffs just hours after his alleged victim, Tina Adovasio, 40, was remembered as a devoted mom in a heart- wrenching fu neral upstate.
