BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Surveillance video shows two officers arrest a man in a Jewish youth center in Brooklyn after receiving a call about a fight between two men.

Volunteer security guard Zlamy Trappler, 24, said he called 911 when he found the man drunk and shirtless, sleeping in the lounge of the Alyia Institute on Oct 8.

In the video, a male and a female officer are seen finding the man, identified as Ehud Halevi, swaddled in a white sheet on a couch. As Halevi comes to his feet, he appears to enter in a heated exchange with the officers, who take handcuffs off Halevi, then strike him and deploy pepper spray.

The NYPD told Fox NY Halevi, who was sleeping in the women’s section of the Institute, threatened to fight the officers. The video shows Halevi pushing the officers.

More officers arrived and handcuffed Halevi, who was charged with assaulting a police officer, trespassing, resisting arrest and harassment, according to CrownHeight.info. The New York Daily News noted Halevi did not appear bloodied.

The wife of Rabbi Moshe Feiglin, who runs the youth center, said Halevi had been permitted to stay at the center.
