BALTIMORE — A Baltimore police officer injured in a two-vehicle crash while on duty in his cruiser has died.
Forty-four-year-old Forrest Taylor of Annapolis died Aug. 29 of complications from injuries sustained in the Feb. 18 crash.
Police say Taylor had activated his lights and siren and went through a red light in Mount Vernon on his way to assist another police officer. The Baltimore Sun reports that Taylor’s cruiser was hit by an SUV driving through a green light. The cruiser hit a pole and a fire hydrant.
No citations were issued.
